Online Math FAQ For The Student

What equipment do I need? The online courses require a computer with Internet access. No special or extra computer programs are needed.

What does it cost? The online course tuition fee is $95. The fee for the textbook is $45.95.

Should I use the online course or the textbook? Use either the online course or the textbook for instruction. The material and quality of the instruction are nearly identical. Some students prefer a book. Others like the web site. Some students prefer both. Whatever works best is the rule to follow.

Do I receive credit for the course? A college course with the same title carries no academic credit. It is considered material that must be learned before taking a college-credit course. Completion of our course makes it possible to take/pass a college test used for placement purposes.

How does my college know if I passed the course? After you have completed our course, send an email to your mentor requesting a certificate of completion. Based on your quiz scores, you may be required to take a final exam with us. After successful completion of your course, we will fax or email you a certificate of completion. Your college may require a placement test before allowing you to enroll.

What is the advantage to me? Our courses cost much less, are self-paced to allow for accelerated progress, and are more convenient and flexible.

How do I sign up? Online or by phone with a credit card.

Can I take other courses at the Community College while I'm taking your online course? Generally, a college will allow online courses to be taken for improving your math skills.
