This Placement Test guides you through a series of problems to determine the best place for you to begin studying in Arithmetic, Beginning Algebra, Elementary Algebra, or Intermediate Algebra. The sequence of problems you will do is determined by your answers, right or wrong. The sequence adjusts to your skill level. If you answer a problem correctly, the next question is more difficult. If you answer a problem incorrectly, the next question is less difficult. When your skill level is established, the program will advise you where you can study effectively and efficiently. |
You, and only you, will see the advice given when you complete this test. Consequently, there is no benefit to guessing. Wild guesses will confuse -- not clarify -- the advice available from this program. To take best advantage of this opportunity, use paper and pencil to do each problem as carefully as possible. The program will not tell you how you are doing until the advice is determined, but you can judge for yourself by the level of difficulty of the problems chosen for your test. |
