Differential Calculus: An Individualized Approach teaches the basic concepts and skills of a first course in College Calculus. Enrolling students should have completed a course in Algebra that stresses functions and function notation because calculus itself requires them.

In outcomes, this course prepares the student with the concepts, skills, and understandings of a traditional college first course in calculus. The emphasis in presenting all topics is an intuitive basis for the understanding of calculus and applying those understandings to a variety of everyday problems that depend upon calculus for their solutions.

The presentation is given as a dialogue between a mentor and a student. The student is expected to participate fully in the conversation. This is especially true for asking questions.
